No More Surfing the Net
My last employer had a strict policy against accessing the Internet for anything other than business, but nevertheless fired employees constantly for accessing forbidden websites.
Although every employee was provided a guideline for websites which were acceptable and were told the company used a Languard Security Event Log Monitor to track the network, somebody always decided they could get around it.
No one did. I worked in Human Resources and watched a parade of people walked out of the company for accessing the blacklisted sites - some were in management.
Although some people thought this was a violation of their privacy, I disagreed and felt that the company had a right to choose who used their computers and what they were used for.
