Pre-packaged Dog Food is Harmful to Your Pet

Over the past year, the dog food industry has come under much scrutiny for the ingredients that are found in pre-packaged dog food.  Ingredients such as corn syrup, propylene glycol and artificial colors have absolutely no nutritional value, and yet are added to the dog’s food to make it taste better, at the expense of your pet’s health.  And yet, people are still purchasing name brand dog food that contains fillers, chemicals and other ingredients that are detrimental, particularly for older dogs.

If your dog is suffering from any diseases, look first at the diet that you’re feeding them.  It’s a good idea to check the ingredient list for anything that you’re not familiar with.  If you find something that sounds like a chemical or a filler, consider changing the food that you’re feeding your pet.  You can even cook homemade food for your dog.  Recipes are available on the internet for organic meals, and that way you know exactly what is going into your dog’s food.
