Online Conveyancing Or NOT?

When you sell or buy property you’re going to need a solicitor to do your conveyancing (you’d be mad to try to do it yourself).

The burning question is (if you even knew such a service existed) whether to use an online conveyancing solicitor or a “traditional” local conveyancing solicitor.

Well, there are pros and cons to both.

On-Line
Local

Cheap
More expensive

Accessible, through email, telephone, fax, but not always available for a face-to-face meeting.
Walk-in office

Highly experienced, after dealing with massive volumes of conveyancing cases. Will keep you updated.
Well established relationships with local Estate Agents (better communications)

Ultimately, there is no need to use a local solicitor. Personally, I would go on-line and save a packet. Just make sure you read customer feedback, and choose a solicitor with a good level of satisfied clients.
