DYI means do it yourself. Lots of people like to DIY Loft Conversion. Some conversions are very simple just turn your loft into living space with some simple upgrades. If you would rather convert to an actual apartment the up grades will be more extensive. You might need to put a bathroom in and maybe a kitchenette. If you do it all yourself you save on labor costs but you need to be sure that you really know how to do the upgrades or you may end up paying some one to fix things you tried but failed to complete.
