Side effects of cod liver oil
One major side effects that can be found in the presence of high quantities of Vitamin A in cod liver oil is that Vitamin A is fat soluble and can accumulate fats and store them in the body .This can result in a disease known as Hypervitaminosis A, and the effects of developing this disease will further lead to an exposure to environmental toxins such as dioxins and mercury.
There is a risk of developing a gestational hypertension for pregnant women who consume cod liver oil is excess. Because of the a significant amount of toxins in cod liver oil, pregnant women as well as people with some allergies are advised not to consume cod liver oil in high dosage.
