Braun is a strong seller
You will have noticed that Sharper Image is up for sale, following a run of losses that saw it lose money in 11 of the last 13 quarters. Not even the deep pockets of the owners of the 31 year old shopping chain could stand that. Turn around specialist Conway Del Genio Gries has been called in, and will hopefully find a buyer who want to continue dealing in shavers and a whole range of household appliances.This is, perhaps, an example of the weakness inherent in selling across brands, rather than focusing on one. The Braun Pulsonic 9595 shaver for example, is selling well across the country. It is a strong performer, backed with research and improvements, and many retailers find that a Braun focus is good for their bottom line.
