Model Home Madness

My idea of entertainment is a little different from my friends’.

One of the things they think is the oddest about me is that my idea of fun is spending a weekend touring model homes.

But I adore doing this. I like comparing home prices, looking at interior decorating styles, and walking through beautiful bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms.

I’m not sure if it’s the “newness” of the homes, an appreciation for decorating, or just window shopping, but almost every weekend will find me happily “oohing” and “aahing” over another new home.

And despite my partying, bar-hopping, beach-going friends’ opinions, the new-home circuit is entertainment enough for me.

Gardening: Greenhouses

I live in Florida, and the weather is iffy at best. High humidity even in cool weather makes gardening some veggies impossible without a greenhouse.

I talked to some friends who had Garden Greenhouses, and decided I would go in that direction. I drove them crazy picking their brains for weeks until I made my decision.

We talked about upkeep, plumbing, covers, and construction. I have 15 acres of land, so space is no problem, but the plumbing was.

Thankfully, one of my friends is a plumber, and had plumbed his own greenhouse. Now, I have the best veggies of them all!

Do You Use Water Filters For Your Bathroom?

Some people have been on this band wagon for years. They were the first to buy bottled water before it became so popular. They had bottled water delivered to their home decades ago. But not too many people think about using water filters in their bathrooms! But think about it, what do you use bathroom water for? You may bathe your new borne baby in the bathtub. You rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth. You may not consume the bathroom tap water, but do you really want those bad substances in your babies bath water? Probably not a good idea huh?

Buy a mattress its compulsory

You know that whenever you go and bed a buy you almost always have to buy a mattress for it. Nowadays it is compulsory because for every bed you purchase you need a mattress to place over it where you would be resting. In older times there was no concept of mattresses the bed was made up of straws and filled with feathers for more comfort but nowadays there are a variety of different mattresses present in the market it may be filled with air, latex or to provide a great amount of comfort the mattresses are now filled with water.

Cool Ideas

I have so many cool ideas for the gifts we want to buy for our wedding party. We have already decided that we would do personalized groomsmen gifts and bridesmaid gifts. Our friends are going to be so excited when they open them! We found some really cool beer mugs that we can engrave their names and the date on. The guys would think that was funny, and it would be something they could continue to use. I do not want to buy them all something that they will just turn around and throw away. I want them to remember this date forever.

Simple & Cheap Divorce

A cheap divorce is not such a complicated matter you know. It’s reasonable for it to be a low spend affiar, as well as professional (well maybe). The type of procedure I am talking about is a "no fault" divorce, and its simple really. If both sides can come to an agreement to separate, have no problems about sharing their assets, and generally have no children or complicated monetary issues, then a cheap divorce can be so simple, and almost involves little more than signing on the paperwork. The other option for keeping the costs down, is to talk to one an other when possible, who gets what, and when, and don’t call a solicitor until the last stages. He isn’t needed there while you guys are talking; hand him and list and tell to sort it out.

Tiffany Style Floor Lamps and Your Living Room

Floor lamps have dual purposes, they provide good lighting to dimly lit areas in the house and at the same time add drama to the living area. Choosing the right lamp is crucial in your home. The main criterion should be the intensity of light. Any interior designer would tell you that writing is everything. Most Victorian interior requires light and soft lighting. Thus, if you are thinking of getting  Tiffany style floor lamps, make sure the stained glass color complements the rest of your existing furnishing. If you have a modern and ultra sleek interior, a brighter lighting is better. Even if you don’t have much art pieces or decorations inside the house, a good lighting can do the trick. You don’t have to limit this in the living room. You can experiment and add a bit of touch into your bedroom as well.

Great way to maintain taste of coffee

Each cup of coffee varies according to amount of coffee used, temperature of water and quality of coffee powder. Amount of coffee used can be cancel through the help of coffee machine so is the temperature of water as it can heat the water up to a certain temperature best for coffee brewing. Quality of coffee powder can degrade through the contact of oxygen in the air. It is easy to eliminate this by grinding all own coffee beans. It’s a lot of work to maintain taste of every cup of coffee. Expensive coffee machine can do all this for you but the only problem is the price so the cheaper alternative is coffee pods or k-cups machine. They are cheap and provide good quality coffee as they come in premeasured amount of coffee powder in each pods. This would ensure that as long as you are buying the same brand, the taste will surely stay the same

Choosing Your Overseas Property Agents

So let’s turn the tables for a moment - you live in Europe and you want to look at investment or retirement properties in the United States. Well, it can be tricky without some help.

Once you’ve more or less decided on a location, your next step is choosing your overseas property agents.

It’s not absolutely necessary to speak the same language as your agent, but it does help. However, if you aren’t able to locate one that speaks your language, you can seek out a translation service.

Have fun while you look around the United States and enjoy your search!

I Just Bought This Oak Furniture Online

Millbrook Furniture have some fantastic Oak furniture online, that you simply have to check out.The wide range on their web-site does not do the company justice, because apart from the fantastic ranges of Oak and Pine wood bedroom furniture, they also do kitchens, and living rooms aswell. The thing impressing me the most me the most was the the free-delivery and assembly, yes I did say that, they construct the pieces for you right there in your room. I was waiting for these delivery men to run off once the docs were signed, but they rolled their sleeves up and got very busy indeed.Really, an excellent service throughout.

Bed Bug Bites Is A Fact

If there is one thing that I am paranoid about when I sleep at night, are bed bugs.  Because Bed Bug Bites! That is why I make sure that our house hold helpers change our sheets at least once a week.  You can never tell you know when they have already started living inside your pillows and your bed mattress.

That is wh the bed mattress that we got makes it impossible for them to live in.  At least that’s what the company where we got the mattress from says.  I am not taking any chances though that is the reason for the frequent change in bed covers.

A room without windows, a room without doors

We are so fortunate to live where we do. Our mountainside home looks down the valley and we can hear the white water river roaring as it goes past our deck. We spend as much time in our outside room as we do in our inside ones. It only made sense to install outdoor flooring on the deck to make it more homey. We now have a gas bar b que, a glass top table with six chairs and a sun umbrella, plus a variety of plants. These are all nestled together around our new flooring so that it appears to be a wall-less room.

Borders

I would love to create a really unique hand painted border around the ceiling of the walls in my bedroom. However, I really am not all that artistic, so I was thinking maybe I could purchase some inexpensive stencils that I could use to create a nice border. Does anyone know of a good website where I could order stencils? I want one where the stencils do not cost very much, and I want there to be a large selection of stencils to choose from so that I can be sure to find some that I like. I hope they are easy to use as well.

Another Week - Another Project

In my opinion the most important quality for a mother is resourcefulness. And especially for a single mother.

Because it never fails. Your fifth-grade child will always wait until Friday night to announce that his science project is due at 8 a.m. Monday morning.

When my oldest son was young, I would panic, then scramble for ideas. Thanks to the Internet (and ten more years of parenting), I now just point and click.

A student can go online and find all sorts of ideas for free science fair projects.

Once a choice is made, you just pick up the supplies, and your budding scientist can put together their award-winning project.

And you can take a deep breath.
