Japanese Samurai Sword
The Japanese Samurai Sword is a very interesting piece of history and is a highly sought after collector’s item. I first started getting interested in them when I was about seven years old. My grandmother needed something for me to do during the summer to keep me out from under her feet. So she decided to have me start learning martial arts from a guy named Brian.
I learned a lot of things from Brian and one of the things he started me on was using a sword. For a seven year old kid that was about the most exciting thing I had ever done. He also started teaching me about that particular sword which was Japanese Samurai Sword called a Wakizashi which is a smaller version of the Katana.
I think learning about the discipline and honor of the samurai warriors was one thing that made a huge impact on my way of thinking. I stayed with the martial arts for a lot of years but since I have gotten older I like looking at the swords much better than swinging one.
